Brace yourselves. American Idol
will be holding auditions in Dallas when the hit Fox
show begins searching for fodder for Season 7.
The site is Texas Stadium -- OK, technically it's Irving -- and the date is Monday, Aug. 6th. These will be the first North Texas auditions since the show's inaugural 2002 season, when Burleson's Kelly Clarkson prevailed. No audition times are available yet, but you can go here for updated information and audition forms. Prospective Idols must be between the ages of 16 and 28 and "eligible to work in the United States," says Fox.
Dallas is second on a seven city audition tour that begins with San Diego on July 30th. The cities following Dallas are Omaha, NE. (Aug. 10), Atlanta, GA (Aug. 14), Charleston, SC (Aug. 18), Miami, FL (Aug. 22) and Philadelphia, PA (Aug. 27).
