Elongated, one-sided World Series hits and misses with Game 1

Fox obviously would have preferred a more competitive game. But the San Francisco Giants’ 7-1 win over the Kansas City Royals still did appreciably better in the D-FW ratings than the network’s typically little seen regular Tuesday night lineup. Still, it lost viewers from 9 to 10 p.m. while also getting off to a slow start opposite potent programming on both CBS and NBC.
