Q&A: March 17

Question: What happened to Jeff Brady? Did he get caught in the mid-April layoff early? Also, is Swingtown coming back?
Jim Frederick

Answer: Swingtown, the 1970s-set series that premiered last June on CBS, is irrevocably dead.
Brady, as reported previously on unclebarky.com, left the station on March 6th to form Brady Media Group. It's now open for business, although the website so far amounts only to a picture of Brady and this come-on: "WHEN THE CONTENT COUNTS: We capture the essence of your business identity or cause, develop a compelling digital story, and convert it into the forum of your choice. Quickly and economically."

Question: What happened to Eureka? I thought it was supposed to return this winter When will Sanctuary be back?
Elisa Miller

Answer: Both Sci Fi Channel series will be returning this year. New episodes of Eureka are set for July, and a second season of Sanctuary is due "sometime in 2009," says the network.

Question: Who is the new female meteorologist on NBC5? She is rather attractive.
Jon Hanes

Answer: That's Samantha Davies, who joined NBC5 in February, replacing meteorologist James Aydelott, who left to be the featured forecaster at KOKI-TV in Tulsa. Davies is working the weekend morning shift.

Question: Any idea when Mad Men will be returning for the next season?
Winifred King

Answer: AMC's Mad Men will return for its third season this summer. There's no definite date yet, but the first two seasons both were launched in July, so that's a good guess.
