CBS11’s newest weekday early morning traffic anchor is Madison Adams. She’s scheduled to start on Dec. 27th after arriving from Waco’s CBS affiliate station, KWTX-TV.

“Madison was born and raised in Fort Worth. “We’re happy to welcome her back home to North Texas and have her help our viewers avoid tie-ups during the morning commute,” CBS11 president-general manager Gary Schneider said in a statement released Wednesday afternoon.

Madison, who replaces Chelsey Davis, was an anchor-reporter at KWTX while also serving as lead reporter for the station’s KWTX Baylor Gameday. She joined the station in July 2015. The Baylor University grad also has been a sports reporter and anchor for Baylor Athletics.

Davis left CBS11 in late November of this year to be with her new husband, Brandon Hamilton, in Phoenix, where he had taken a job at NBC station KPNX-TV. She had joined CBS11 in June 2015. Hamilton previously worked the early morning shift as a reporter for rival TEGNA8.

In the November “sweeps” ratings period, CBS11 ranked fourth in the early mornings behind frontrunner Fox4, runner-up NBC5 and TEGNA8.
