Former White House press secretary and high-profile Fox News Channel analyst Tony Snow has joined CNN as a conservative commentator, the network announced Monday.
Snow, who has twice battled cancer, left the Bush administration on Sept. 14th after saying that his health problems required him to make more money. His new job at CNN is effective immediately, making him presumably available to speak his piece during Tuesday's key Pennsylvania presidential primary.
"The big challenge in 2008 is to develop deep, creative and aggressive analysis of both political parties, their candidates and campaigns," Snow said in a statement. "I'm eager to get started, since this race is sure to shape American politics for years to come."
Snow also worked for the senior President Bush as a speechwriter and media affairs advisor. His tenure as press secretary for George W. Bush began on April 26, 2006. He had spent a decade with Fox News Channel before taking his second White House job.
