Welcome to Unclebarky.com! Its proprietor is Ed Bark, who had a 26-year run as TV critic at The Dallas Morning News before leaving the paper in fall 2006. Here you'll find national TV reviews and stories, plus up-close looks at Dallas-Fort Worth TV, including local news coverage. Ed is a University of Wisconsin-Madison graduate, with a masters degree in journalism. He's a past president of the national Television Critics Association, and in 2004 was honored with his alma mater's Distinguished Alumni Award. From 1995-2002, he was one of two TV critics on the 15-member national Peabody Awards board, which honors outstanding programming in television and radio. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1967-70 and was honorably discharged as a corporal. He is a native of Racine, Wis., and graduate of St. Catherine High School. He prizes integrity above all else.
