Finfrock ends long tenure as NBC5's chief meteorologist, but will remain with station on part-time basis

David Finfrock, the dean of D-FW weathercasters and NBC5’s chief meteorologist since 1991, is relinquishing that title to incumbent Rick Mitchell, but will remain with the station on a part-time basis.

Finfrock and the man who hired him, the late Harold Taft, had been the only chief meteorologists in NBC5’s 70-year history. All the details and a full interview with Finfrock are on our Dallas-Fort Worth TV page.
