NBC’s The Voice and ESPN’s Monday Night Football again proved to be Monday’s ruling class.

The Voice topped all D-FW programming in total viewers with 327,200 while the MNF showdown between the New England Patriots and Baltimore Ravens won among advertiser-craved 18-to-49-year-olds with 121,870.

In the local news derby results, NBC5 came within a wisp of a rare double grand slam. The Peacock swept the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. competitions in both total viewers and 25-to-54-year-olds (main advertiser target audience for news programming). But Fox4 barely stemmed the tide by nipping NBC5 at 6 a.m. among 25-to-54-year-olds. NBC5 had the most total viewers at 6 a.m. by a narrow margin over Fox4.

Local News Note: Starting on Jan. 2nd, Dallas-based KERA radio’s (90.1 FM) Think will significantly expand its reach with simulcasts on public radio stations in Austin, Houston, San Antonio and Waco. The program, hosted by Kris Boyd since Feb., 2006, airs from noon to 2 p.m. weekdays.

“My favorite conversations are the ones that raise more questions than they answer,” Boyd says in a KERA publicity release.
